About the Authors

Abi and Missy met in the summer of 1999 at college orientation and have been best friends ever since. After college, they added jobs, husbands and kids to their lives, but they still found time for their friendship. Instead of hanging out on weekends, they went to dinner once a month and reviewed books. What started out as an enjoyable hobby has now become an incredible adventure.

About the Book

It’s been three months since the revolt against the Commander’s fifty-year-old regime failed.

Under a new ruler, things were supposed to change. Get better.

Now, Wilson is in charge. But, can he really be trusted? Can anyone?

Lexi and Cole soon find out, as life takes an unexpected turn for the worse.

In this ever-changing world, you must hunt or be hunted.

Many more lives will be lost.

Many more dreams will be crushed.

Many more fears will be realized.

When Cole is once again faced with losing Lexi at the hands of a monster, one capture will change everything.

Forever.

Top 10 literary heroes and villains and why

Hazel, from TFIOS. She was a strong character and very relatable. Hazel was able to make the most of her life, even when dealing with a terminal illness.

Katniss, from THG. She protected her sister and volunteered to take her place in the games. She not only survived, but she played the games in a way no one had done before. She was smart and caring. She never wanted to kill anyone, and each death she was responsible for she felt guilty about it.

President Snow, from THG. Manipulative, smart, fearful and truly believed that his system with the 12 districts was the only way of living.

Gus, from TFIOS. He made us laugh constantly and you couldn’t help but love him.

Claire, from Outlander. At first she’s a hard character to like, but as the story goes on you grow to love her as she grows and changes.

Jamie, from Outlander. The most amazing man to ever walk Scotland. Not only is he sexy, he’s brace, honorable and loyal to his family. He’s protective of Claire; yet he’s so tender and loving at the same time. He takes his marriage vows seriously and how can you not admire a man like that.

Eddard Stark from The Game of Thrones. He was loyal and remained that way, even when death knocked on his door.

Susan Dobson Chilmark from The Last Silk Dress. In the beginning of the book, she’s young and naïve, but as the story progresses she is forced to make tough decisions. It is great to see her character mature and become solid.

Liesel from The Book Thief. Young but mature beyond her years, she is willing to sacrifice her safety to save books from being burned in Nazi occupied Germany. A true hero!

A great villain is the Prophet in Station Eleven. Slightly “off his rocker” with skewed beliefs on religion, family, and past history, he’s willing to stalk the main female character over a long distance. I don’t think there’s anything much creepier than that.
