Showing Gratitude for a Book

Beth Revis asked to post a blog topic of gratitude. So...the book I'm most grateful for is Harry Potter. I can honestly say that the Harry Potter series is the reason I read so much. I struggled with reading in my younger years so I was never a fan of reading until I picked up Harry Potter.

I’m also grateful for the entire Harry Potter series. I originally swore I’d never read them! But then I was going through a pretty tough time after my dad died in December 2009 and my book lover friend (now known as ♥ BookLuvr Mindy, LOL!) gave me the entire series to read and said they would be good for me and a good way for me to escape and take my mind off my sadness. Well, I don’t remember if she actually said that last part, but I’m sure it was implied! Anyway, I read all the books in about a month or so, and I can’t tell you how much they helped. So, I’m grateful not only for Harry Potter but for ♥ BookLuvr Mindy!!! Oh yeah, she still gives me books to read, especially when work or life are getting me down . . . and she tells me that I need to read more and that it will be good for me. So far, she’s been right every time LOL!!!

It took me a long time to pick up the HP series, but I do love them. I started reading the series just before Half Blood Prince movie was released. I still want to reread the series.
