My Review!

This is my first time I’ve ever really written a review about a movie, so please bear with me here! I'd have to rate this one a...

So…um…Beautiful Creatures! Wow!!! This movie was so good! Want two words to describe this movie? Fabulously awesome! It so beyond exceeded my expectations! Immediately when I got home from the movie, I wanted to jump on every social media website and start spamming all about Beautiful Creatures.

Almost from the very first scenes, I knew I’d like this movie. The hilariously funny banter between the characters had the movie theater crowd laughing pretty much right from the start! And the humor continued throughout the entire movie. Even during some of the most serious moments in the movie the humor had the crowd laughing. But you shouldn’t think for one moment that Beautiful Creatures is a comedy! I think that what a lot of women would love most about this movie is the very intense, cute romance! The connection between Ethan (Alden Ehrenreich) and Lena (Alice Englert) was so strong that I truly felt their love was absolutely real for me! And then there were other times when something crazy or sucky would happen that I truly felt a character’s anxiety was absolutely real for me too! Or, I felt my heart was getting ripped out along with one of the character’s when the movie would take a gut wrenching turn. OH! And the action and the special effects were outrageously awesome! Basically, what I’m trying to tell you is that the whole storyline was so well done that it had me sucked in from the very beginning until the very end!

As for the characters? The producers did a fabulous job casting the parts for this movie! As I said above, I loved the chemistry between Ethan and Lena. And then, when Macon Ravenwood (Jeremy Irons) was introduced, that scene was a LOT of fun. I absolutely loved both Link (Thomas Mann) and Ridley (Emmy Rossum)…but my favorite casting was for Mrs. Lincoln/Sarafine (Emma Thompson)! Emma did a fabulous job changing between those two completely different characters! I loved it!

Lastly the question all book readers probably want to know about is, "Did this movie do the book justice?" In my opinion that would be a big YES!!!!

The movie ended fabulously and I’m already craving a sequel, so I hope that every one of you goes out to watch Beautiful Creatures so we can get the sequel Beautiful Darkness going ASAP!

So glad you liked it and thought it did the book justice. So many, like the Percy Jackson movie, were disappointing. Can't wait to see this.

I actually hated the book. But I'm so looking forward to this movie. I'm hoping it has an opposite Twilight effect for me (I hated the movie, loved the book in regards to Twilight).

The movie DID NOT live up to the book at all. It was like watching a really pathetic and sad version of the book. The left out characters and important parts completely and totally changed parts from the book. I am so disappointed in the movie. It sucked!
