Misguided Angel by Melissa de la Cruz

Misguided Angel (Blue Bloods, #5)

Goodreads Summary:  After inheriting the dark Van Alen Legacy, Schuyler fled to Florence--with her forbidden love, Jack. Now the two of them must embark on the mission Schuyler was destined to complete: to find and protect the seven gates that guard earth from Lucifer, lord of the Silverbloods.

As the Blue Blood enclave weakens yet further, fate leads Schuyler closer to a terrifying crossroads--and a choice that will determine the destiny of all vampires.

My Take:  This book was a reminder of why I like Blue Bloods!!! Just like all the other books in the series, Misguided Angel was a quick, easy and entertaining read! After reading the first chapter I was sucked in!

Lately I have been reading a lot of books with way too much description or a lot of rambling that is unimportant to the story. Not this book! It is less than 300 pages and with it jumping through different POV's Melissa kept me entertained.

I really liked the direction that Melissa de la Cruz took with this book. All my assumptions took a turn in a completely different direction in the end. Now there is a whole new journey for some and several new characters to play in future books.

I was a little disappointed that Bliss was not in this book, but I am sure Melissa has plans for her in the future.
****
For those of you who have not read any of the books in this series. The books are about angels that had turned their backs against God so they fell and were sent to earth as immortals. Only their body is not immortal, their spirit has to recycle in a new body through their blood and their memory only returns when they reach their teenage years. Another curse is, in order for them to survive they must drink human blood, the Fallen are Vampires.

Michael and Gabriel are the only pure angels that chose to follow the Fallen to earth. They have been on earth for more than 400 years and they are in a struggle with Lucifer and those who have followed him.
